#3.22 Magic
Bluey Recap: Magic (#3.22)
#bestbits: Bandit and Pat’s tango / dirty dancing show
#lifelesson: don’t let power go to your head, and there’s always pizza
Chilli collapses on the couch after doing the mopping when Bingo arrives asking if she’ll play with her. Chilli says no, she just doesn’t feel like it, so Bingo asks Bluey who agrees! Bluey then explains that you can make people (like Mum) do what you want by using “magic”. She demonstrates using Bingo’s tail (with Bingo’s assistance), and promises to teach her.
Blueys instructions to learn “magic” consist of a lot of dramatic hand gestures and meaningful facial expressions. Once Bingo has mastered it, they go to practice on Bandit. At first Bandit assumes Bingo needs her ‘racquet restrung’ before catching on and playing along. Good old Lucky’s Dad joins in and the two Dads end up doing the tango.
Chilli appears and demands to know who taught Bingo magic (Bluey), and did she teach her the most important rule? Magic should never be used for cheekiness! Chilli magics the Dads away over the fence and controls Bluey and Bingo to teach them a lesson.
Bluey protests that she should be able to use magic however she wants to, and a Harry Potteresque magic duel e sues between mum and daughter. Bluey argues that she WAS using the magic for goodliness (as Bingo was sad as no one would play with her), and Chilli explains that grown ups can’t just drop everything to play as they have chores to do! Bluey counters that they could just call the pizza boy, and attempts to get Bingo to join her (on the dark side).
As Chilli lies under Bandit, the power of magic goes to Bluey’s head and she also attempts to control Bingo. Bingo sees the light and releases Mum and Dad from Blueys magic power, and the game finally finishes.
As they reflect on the day, the pizza boy arrives with dinner and Chilli gets in trouble for using her magic for cheekiness!
