Bluey Recap: Tradies (#3.35)

#bestbits: the introduction of some new “Aussie” terminology for our o/s viewers…. Tradies, Me Misses, Sparkie, Chippie…
#lifelesson: Tradies love a good pie, and keep up your spy game
Bluey and Bingo are out the front of the house when a Tradies ute pulls up. Out hops a typical Aussie “tradie” (tool belt included), followed by another tradie dropped off in a hotted up green ute (typical apprentice).
The girls bark a warning, but the Tradies ignore them and continue around the back to speak with Chilli.
From their observation spot under the stairs, the girls watch Chilli negotiate the length of the job (3 days, not 4), and the Tradies start marking out the new fishpond (where #stumpfest occurred) ready to dig.
The girls decide to ‘spy’ on the Tradies who are currently talking about boats and sneaking away to send texts on their phone. Upon reporting to Chilli, the girls are sent to continue their mission to make sure “Big Belt” and “Chocolate Milk” are working hard on the job.
After a few more phone calls to ‘Cherry’, and another telling off from the boss, Bluey and Bingo deduce that everyone is enemies. The day ends, and the Tradies leave.
The next morning, the Tradies arrive in the same car (no Cherry for Chocolate Milk today). The girls annotate their very detailed spy findings in chalk, reporting to Chilli, until the icecream truck arrives. The girls AND the Tradies get excited, however only the Tradies get to have an icecream (cue toddler tantrum).
Chocolate Milk has to take a phone call, so Big Belt shares the icecream with the girls as they discuss their spying discoveries and the concept of enemies.
The Tradies continue their work, and the girls become secret helpers, supplying tools and food (meat pie with sauce!)
Finally (after only 3 days) the fishpond is complete, and it’s AMAZING!!!
The Tradies depart, with Chocolate Milk / Chippie having made up with his ute driving girlfriend Cherry.
