#2.1 Hairdressers

Bluey Recap: Hairdressers (#2.1)

#bestbits: Bluey knocking Mum over to get away from the nits

#lifelessons: sometimes toddlers need a bit more time to find their own voices, and sometimes you’ll wish they never had

Bluey asks Bingo what game they should play. Bingo, (in typical toddler fashion), takes ages to think of and verbalise an answer so Bluey, (in typical older child frustration), chooses for her and suggests they play ‘hairdressers’.

They set up their salon and Chilli is their first client. Bluey asks what colours she’d like, and Bingo tries to add her idea, but Bluey cuts her off. Mum explains that Bingo is trying to find her voice, and that Bluey needs to help her by not talking over her.

Enter Bert Handsome (Bandit), the richest, most good looking man around. Bluey gets him into a chair, but unfortunately for Bert, he has.... NITS!!!

To rid Bert/Bandit of nits, the girls order him to have a cold shower then use a flyswatter and hammer to remove any stragglers. Bluey finishes off ANOTHER of Bingo’s sentences (while she ums and ahs) and as Bingo goes to search for the cricket bat, Mum reminds Bluey that talking FOR Bingo is just the same as talking OVER her and that she needs to use her ears.

Upon Bingo’s return, Bert decides he is free of nits, but after seeing poor Bingo’s heart broken expression that she didn’t get to use her voice, he gets itchy again.

Chilli gently prompts Bingo to verbalise her own idea and Bluey remembers to use her ears to listen. Bingo finally tells them her plan and they all cheer ‘HOORAY’.... (except for Bandit).

Bert is hung upside down, pelted with water bombs, covered in nit powder (flour) and tickled with rakes as the girls finally rid him of nits using Bingo’s plan.

After paying 1000 dollar bucks for his de-nitting, a slightly shell shocked Bert asks Mum to join him for a cup of (much needed) tea.
