Chilli and Bandit are cleaning out the gutters when one snaps off. Bluey is upset as Bingo’s watermelon slice is redder (which it is). Bandit starts the adage of “the grass is always greener...” when Lucky’s dad calls out to show off his new pizza oven.... A family excursion to ‘Hammerbarn’ (aka Bunnings) is called for!
Upon arrival, Bandit heads off to find his pizza oven while Chilli takes the girls home improvement shopping. The girls set about creating their own ‘houses’. Plants become their garden and dog-gnomes become husbands: Hecubus and Gerald. Bluey, continuing on her “not fair, Bingo has...” theme, is eventually satisfied when her dog-gnome has a shovel too. Bingo gets a pizza slicer (not fair!!!!) so Chilli tells Bluey to try swap Bingo something. Bingo is then given a pizzastone-dining table which sets off the “not fair” chant AGAIN.
Bluey tries to steal it and ends up knocking a gnome-dog husband to the ground, smashing it and causing Mum to cry out “Bluuuuuueeeyyy” (Dad is investigating the pizza ovens and tells the shop assistant that it must be another Bluey....).
Chilli explains that you can’t always get what you want as stuff costs money and nothing is free... the girls then find the giant paint swatch display and reluctantly, Mum admits that yes, they are free.
The girls happily set up their colour swatch houses, revelling in the delight of having everything they always wanted. But suddenly, it’s all taken away as they go through the checkout! As they sulk, the kindly check out dog distracts them by giving a turn with her “beeper”.
Back at the Heeler’s house and Bandit presents his first freshly made pizza - it looks “bodgy” but as he swaps a piece with Lucky’s Dad, Chilli exclaims that it’s the best pizza she’s ever had!
