Bandit is (bravely) taking the girls to see a movie at the cinema - Chunky Chimp. Bingo is hyper before they even buy tickets and Bluey is concerned she may get scared in the movie but is determined as her friends have seen it already.
At the ticket counter Bandit orders two popcorns (as Bingo spills the first ) and also queries if there are any scary parts (at Blueys request). They are warned that some kids may find the storm at the end scary so as soon as they enter the cinema Bluey covers her eyes in anticipation even though Bandit assures her they can leave whenever she wants.
The movie starts with the plot line being that Chunky Chimp is different from his friends, and as a musical number starts, Bingo spills her popcorn so they all head out to the snack bar again. Bingo is still creating hyperactive havoc while Bluey ponders that SHE is the different one, but doesn’t want to be anymore.
Take 2 in the cinema and while Bingo leads Bandit on a chase around the dark cinema, Bluey actually watches and enjoys the movie as Chunky learns to just be himself. As another song starts, Bingo requests the toilet so they all traipse out again. This time Bluey ponders the qualm of just “being yourself” as Bingo runs riot in the toilet.
Take 3 in the cinema as Bingo finally reaches her peak of toddler-hyper-tantrum and runs up to stand in front of the screen. The storm scene has started so Bluey covers her eyes and is of no assistance to Bandit in wrangling Bingo. As Blueys concerns become voiced by Chunky Chimp in the movie, she watches as Chunky learns to be himself and finds braveness. Bingo is caught and Bluey decides she wants to stay for the end, as Bandit allows Bingo to also just “be herself”.
