It’s breakfast time on the weekend at The Heeler’s house. Bluey brings in a pretend? letter for Dad with a claw  hand and tells him it contains a drumstick - an impromptu jam session ensues.

Chilli heads off on a bike ride while Bandit attempts to settle down in front of the TV to watch the cricket. However, with kids climbing all over him, he admits defeat and joins in with the game of “Statues”.

Shortly after commencement, Dad pauses the game to go to the toilet, and in the scene that epitomises my life, the kids sing, read and play in the bathroom whilst complaining about how stinky it is (not that bit).

After unpausing the game, Bluey the shop keeper sells Dad what he assures is a non magical statue (Bingo). While Dad goes to get his receipt the statue moves places but Bluey just tells him he’s “probably just going crazy or something” #parenthood

The magical statue then moves outside and the kids play a game of knock&run on Dad until he catches them at it and chases them around the garden.

Bingo discovers a leaf insect and tries to get Dads attention to show him but he is too busy chasing the shopkeeper to get back his four hundred dollerydoos.

Evening time, and it’s squawking rainbow lorikeets in the tree and prawns for dinner (regular meal at the Heeler’s House). Mum is tucking the kids in and, realising Bingo is sad, talks to her and calls Dad in.

Dad sincerely apologises for not hearing her, and then Dad and Bluey recount their day with the crazy statue. Bingo finally cheers up and tells them she was the statue and the kids go off to sleep happy.
