Rusty and Indy are at school playing a game of “Mums and Dads”. The day starts off beautifully with them exchanging pleasantries, however things turn bad when they both step out to go to work. Rusty insists that Mums don’t go to work - they stay home and look after the kids. Indy insists that Mums DO go to work and Dads stay home to mow the lawn.
Their ever calming teacher, Calypso, intervenes suggesting they should maybe play apart for a while.
Indy goes out to play with Mackenzie who is digging to the bottom of the sandpit. Indy tries to steer the “mums & dads” game back on track by feeding Polly - but Mackenzie is too intent on digging another hole.
Rusty goes to join Bluey who is also playing a game of ”mums & dads.”
Unfortunately for Rusty, Bluey thinks this means that Rusty is HER baby as she attempts to feed him some ‘milky milk.’
Indy then attempts to rope Snickers into her game, but he gets distracted playing tag. Meanwhile, Poor Rusty is being rocked to sleep by Mumma Bluey, who then tries to change his nappy.
Indy next tries to get Winton to play her game, leaving baby Polly in his (un)capable hands while she goes to work. He appears, asking what it is he should do and in frustration Indy takes Polly to go and find another playmate.
Poor Rusty is now being fed in the high chair by Mumma Bluey.
In a last attempt, Indy asks one of The Terriers to watch baby Polly - he has to invade a castle though and ends up defeated, sprawled on her work desk.
Indy quickly removes Polly and goes to sulk near the sandpit.
Meanwhile, Rusty has escaped Mumma Blueys pram and has run away, begging Indy to help him hide.
They hide in one of Mackenzies sandpit holes and apologise to each other for fighting. They agree to resume their game of “mums & dads,” each relenting that both Mums AND Dads can go to work.
This almost results in another fight as now neither of them want to go to work - the solution? - It’s the weekend!!!
