#2.6 Mum School
Bluey Recap: Mum School (#2.6)
#bestbits: Bluey talking to her babies in a perfect mimic of Chilli
#lifelesson: kids are always hungry, and everyone fails at mothering sometimes
It’s bath time for Bluey but she wants to play a game of “Mum School” - where she gets awarded points for good mothering. Her children are 6 balloons and the cheekiest, Greeny, is on the ceiling. Bluey throws a book at him as Chilli decides that maybe she SHOULD award points for good mothering.
Bluey assembles her balloon children on the couch to watch a movie and holds Greeny’s hand (string) - points for good mothering! However, Greeny is fussing and knocks another balloon child so is stuffed under a cushion. Bluey is awarded points as she puts a stop to the teasing, before allowing an all in balloon brawl.
Chilli suggests some exercise at the indoor pool (bath). Bluey struggles to herd the balloons along, before taking out bunty (a roll of wrapping paper) to beat them into the bathroom (mothering points deducted). All the balloon children are safely in the pool as Bluey threatens Greeny with Bunty again before being ushered into the shower with Mum.
Enter Bandit who has been trying to get Bingo to brush her teeth all episode - Chilli decides to mark him in “Dad School” as he sack carries Bingo to the sink. He gets awarded points for making the chore fun, tickling as a distraction and trying to solve the problem of Bingo’s rattiness with more food.
Bluey then uses these tactics to help with Greeny, acknowledging his need to float away and helping him do the right thing by weighting him down. Problem solved as they all splash in the bath.
After the bath, Bluey uses the hair dryer, accidentally sending Greeny out the window to float away into the evening sky. She’s upset, but Chilli assures her he’ll be ok as he had a great mum. Unfortunately this means Bluey failed “Mum School”, but... there’s always tomorrow.
