#lifelesson: there’s no need to be afraid of a bit if hard work
Chilli is cleaning lorikeet poo off the deck as she tells Bluey she’s not afraid of a bit of hard work! Bingo arrives with a crown and the girls decide to play “Queens”.
Bluey announces the queens arrival on a recorder as Bingo regally walks through the playroom. Chilli cheers in her best commoner cockney accent as Queen Bingo royally acknowledges her.
As they arrive at the throne, Queen Bingo begins her demands of Butler Bluey. Her royal bottom needs a scratch, then she needs help getting on the throne. She tells the butler to come here, go away, stand on blocks and write down her song and then sing it.
It’s then time for a tour in the royal carriage, high tea, greeting of the court and a game of polo before it’s Blueys turn to play Queen.
As Queen Bluey enters, Mum the commoner cheers, but as the new Queen mounts the throne, she decides she’d prefer to play the butler again. Bingo also wants to play butler so they need to find a new Queen to boss them around... enter Bandit who has been picking up palm fronds that have fallen off Lucky’s Dads tree.
Queen Dad takes full advantage of his role, using Bingo as a foot stool, demanding ginger beer and bossing the peasants around. All is going well until another palm frond falls and he has to leave to save the kingdom.
Bluey reluctantly takes her turn as Queen again so Bingo can play butler. She is uninvolved to begin with, but then after speaking with the commoner who envies her role and recognises it must be hard work, she realised that as Queen, she’s NOT afraid of hard work.
She composes a new song, visits her subjects, has high tea, knights Lucky’s Dad and greets the court before retiring her position.
Bluey then has the idea of making MUM Queen so both her and Bingo can play butlers.
Enter to a fanfare, Queen Mum, the regal-ist of them all, ready to get everything she’s ever wanted.
