#lifelesson: chocolate is the best icecream, and life isn’t always fair
Bandit and Uncle Stripe have taken the girls to the museum and are now sitting outside the gift shop. Bandit refuses Bluey a souvenir as Muffin gets a toy dinosaur stuck on her head.
On the way home, they pass an icecream cart, again with Bandit refusing the girls pleas and citing that NO one is getting icecream..... enter Muffin eating an icecream that Stripe just bought her!
Bandit concedes and the Heeler’s go to the icecream cart as Uncle Stripe and Muffin head off to catch the ferry.
Bingo chooses mango icecream and Bluey chooses strawberry. As Bandit waits for payWave to go through, he changes his mind and orders a chocolate icecream as well. They sit on a bench and happily eat their ice creams until Bluey asks for a lick of Bingos (Bandit: “here we go”).
Bingo hesitantly agrees but then pulls back at the size of Blueys lick-tongue. This begins a sibling bickering match over fairness of tongue and lick sizes, and who gets to go first. Bandit tells them to sort it out, and eventually the girls agree to take a lick of each other’s icecream at the same time.
Commence Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the flowers” as the girls spin around with their tongues out trying to lick each other’s icecream!
They pirouette through Brisbane’s Southbank: past the beach area, water fountains and garden arches. As they move through the seating area (bin chickens present), their ice creams begin to melt, leaving a trail of pink and yellow drips behind them.
The girls suddenly realise that their ice creams have completely melted and desperately try to lick some out of the cones before collapsing in a sad heap at their loss. Bandit tells them they’ve learnt a valuable life lesson - icecream melts in the hot sun. However, he quickly relents and offers the girls his icecream instead. They agree to take turns and share beautifully (life lesson learnt).
