#lifelesson: don’t eat the sugar sachets, and kids are much better at making friends than adults
Bluey is setting up a play cafe in the playground with Bandit watching on. Another Dad and daughter turn up and the new Dad plonks himself on a different bench to Bandit. Meanwhile the girls have become firm friends, made some play banana bread, and recruited their Dads to be customers.
Bandit and the new Dad sit awkwardly in the playground cafe as Winnie comes to take their order. When Bandit goes to pay with his pretend credit card, it’s maxed out and Winnies Dad has to pay with cash instead. The girls play off each other as they decide there’s only enough dollar bucks for one serve and the Dads are left to share their breakfast (which they do with good humour).
Back at The Heeler’s as Bluey is describing their morning and her new friend, she wants to know why Bandit isn’t friends with a Winnies Dad already and why they couldn’t go for breakfast at their house. Bandit explains that it takes time to make friends.
The next morning at the playground cafe the Dads receive their chai lattes and Bluey warns them that the sugar sachets are only for coffee. The Dads play up by pretending to eat the sugar then lead the girls on a wild chase through the play equipment.
After hearing this story at breakfast, Bingo decides she wants to come too, and Bandit admits that he and Winnies Dad are sort of friends now.
The next day Bingo serves the Dads granola before getting bored and taking Bandit reluctantly away from the game to the swings.
The following day however, Bingo sleeps in so Bluey and Bandit rush to the park. Winnie and Fido aren’t there, and although Bandit plays along, they both admit it’s not as fun without their new friends.
Just as they are leaving, Winnie and Fido turn up, and Bandit (having decide enough time has passed), awkwardly asks them to come over for breakfast leaving the girls openly ecstatic (and the Dads quietly so).
