#lifelesson: bonbon paper hats always break, and everybody’s family is a bit crazy
The Heeler family and Nanna are all at Uncle Stripe and Aunt Trixie’s for Christmas Day. It’s present opening time and everyone is very excited about their gifts, especially Bluey who receives a special doll she calls ‘Bartleby’.
Muffin announces that it’s time for a “Christmas Swim!!!” and they all head out to the pool and BBQ area.
Bluey introduces Bartleby to the family: Uncle Stripe before he gets blown into the pool, Socks who is now talking, and Muffin who is playing a complicated pool inflatable ferry game with Chilli. Next is Bingo who greets Bartleby before being surprised by Stripe pretending to play “croc attack”. Bartleby escapes relatively wet but unharmed and goes to meet Bandit who is playing “classic catches” with his new tennis balls. The whole family joins in and even Bartleby has a turn - unfortunately followed up by Bandit who lands on him and breaks his arm.
Bluey takes Bartleby inside (after being dried a bit roughly by Nanna) to have some quiet time away from the boisterous family. Uncle Rad and Frisky call on FaceTime - by the looks of it they are holidaying together at a resort. After speaking to the rest of the family Chilli takes the iPad into Bluey who introduces Frisky to Bartleby. Bluey tells Frisky that it’s Bartleby’s first Heeler Christmas and that he wants to go home as everyone is a bit rough. Frisky has a heart to heart with Bartleby, telling him it’s her first Heeler Christmas too, and even though they are a bit crazy, they are full of love.
Bartleby rejoins Christmas and is happily included in all the craziness - a doctor visit, a pork crackle test, a ferry trip, a croc attack, a gravy tasting and a classic catch with Nanna. At Christmas lunch, he is welcomed to the family with a cheers and a slap on the back (face planting into the gravy).
