#3.8 Housework

Bluey Recap: Housework (#3.8)

#bestbits: Bluey and Bingo’s “walks”

#lifelesson: kids are crazy, and a little dance can make housework more bearable

Chilli and Bandit are on housecleaning duty, and the girls have been asked to clean up their blanket fort.

Mechanical, monotonous music plays as Bandit vacuums and Chilli cleans the windows. Through the alcove, we see Bluey and Bingo packing things away, one by one (as kids do), but each time they pass they do a different “walk”.

Bandit puts down the vacuum and declares that he’s not doing any further housework until the kids walk normally (ie not like complete fruitloops). Chilli joins him, but sets the ground rules - back to cleaning the minute one of them walks normally.

After a few passes, Bingo appears to do this… until Bandit points out that she’s moving her arms and legs TOGETHER.

The girls slide, walk like ghosts, donkeys, elephants, emus, top toeing, twirling…. until Bingo performs an extra special walk which Bandit and Chilli try to imitate:

Feet out like a duck but with your toes popped in, while spinning and making a “bie-oop” sound.

As Chilli and Bandit are falling about laughing and trying to practice the walk, Bluey and Bingo catch them and query WHY they’re doing it. With no exact answer, the girls volunteer to teach Mum and Dad how to do the walk properly and they all collapse after a successful “bie-oop” session.

The girls go off to play, and Bandit and Chilli resume chores, but this time with a little wiggle to their walk as they work.
