The Heeler family are out on the deck playing board games. Bingo declares that she is hungry and wants some pavlova from the fridge - Chilli tells her to have some edamame beans instead. In a cunning move, Bluey suggests she cone play “cafe” in the kitchen (doesn’t get past Chilli though).
The girls set up the cafe with a menu selling “pavlova” and Bluey takes Bingo’s order. She is stopped at the fridge by Bandit who has dressed up as a chef and only speaks French. They let him join the game and Bluey directs him to the pavlova in the fridge, to which he gives the thumbs up that he understands.
Chef Bandit then serves Bingo’s “pavlova”, which is instead a plate of edamame beans.
After being instructed AGAIN by Bluey as to which one is the pavlova, he returns with a plate containing a small crumb of pavlova. Bluey informs him to get a big slice and he returns to the fridge, muttering in nonsensical French.
A slice of pavlova is delivered, but just as Bingo is getting ready to eat it, Bandit covers it in tomato sauce. Bluey fires Bandit who storms of bonjouring madly under his breath.
Bluey regains control of her cafe, ready to serve up some pavlova when Bandit opens a new cafe right next to her cafe. Bingo, lured in by the French accent, goes to check it out. Although they only serve edamame beans, Bandit mines their deliciousness and Bingo agrees to try both dishes (a cafe competition!).
Bluey plates up her pavlova with extra fruit and sprinkles, while Bandit and Bingo enjoy shelling the edamame beans.
It’s decision time, and Bingo chooses pavlova. Chef Bandit admits defeat, but shakes Blueys hand before calling him a booger (in French). Bingo polishes off her pavlova, but then shows Chilli how she can pop the edamame beans out. As Chilli leaves to find Bandit and Bluey, Bingo tries a bean and finds that they ARE actually delicious.
