Chilli collapses on the couch after FINALLY getting the girls to sleep, when Bluey appears at the top of the stairs. Chilli relents to reading her another story and asks Bandit to help out, which he agrees to do….
As Chilli calmly begins a story, Unicorse (Bandit’s hand puppet) enters the room, loudly and obnoxiously, much to Blueys delight and Chilli’s disgust. He suggests a different story, talks VERY loudly, and calls Chilli “Toots”.
Bluey promises she’ll calm him down, but Chilli reminds her that he is the MOST annoying unicorn in the world.
As the story resumes, Unicorse interrupts and stands in front of the pictures - Bluey complains but Unicorse brings out his catchphrase of “aaaaannnndddd, why should I care?”
Unicorse then spoils the ending, dances with his portable speaker and becomes so obnoxious that even Bluey is frustrated.
Bluey attempts distraction with a pretend bucket of chicken, which works for two pages of the story before Unicorse starts chewing loudly to push everyone’s buttons a bit further.
Finally, Chilli has enough and slams the book shut and gets up to leave. Bluey attempts to talk to Unicorse - this escalates to Unicorse feigning being seriously injured and disappearing to get his lawyer.
Bluey again tells Mum that she can change Unicorses behaviour, but Chilli reflects that you can’t really change anyone. They decide the best strategy is to ignore him.
The story resumes and Unicorse reappears with his (hand puppet) lawyer. After a few lapses in frustration, they successfully ignore Unicorse and he ends up wrestling with his lawyer and disappearing behind the couch.
Story complete, Bluey is now tired enough to go to bed, and heads up stairs leaving Unicorse wrestling with himself behind the couch.
